Reclaiming the Trail: A 60-Day Journey from Injury to Peak Performance
Michael Curatola, a 68-year-old fitness enthusiast, has been an active individual for most of his life. Since his retirement in May 2025, he dedicated himself to staying strong and healthy. However, his active lifestyle took an unfortunate turn when he injured his left knee while performing Bulgarian split squats at the gym. The injury, which led to throbbing pain during walks and difficulty climbing stairs, was diagnosed as patellar tendinitis.
Despite these challenges, Michael was determined to recover. "I know I can provide the care my dog needs, and I'd love to get well sooner than later if your device makes it happen," he shared, expressing his eagerness to find a non-invasive solution. To support his rehabilitation, Michael began using the Prungo FluxGo red light therapy, integrating it into his physical therapy routine. Here’s how his recovery journey unfolded over the following weeks.

Week 1: A Convenient and Effective Start
From the very beginning, Michael found Prungo to be easy to use and effective for his knee. "I really love how easy it is to put on and take off. There's no messy liquids or sticky pads to use," he noted. The device, equipped with straps and an elastic band to hold it in place, allowed him to choose between mild, medium, or high settings depending on his pain level. Michael was hopeful that combining red light therapy with his PT exercises would speed up his recovery.
"I use it twice a day to help speed up the healing. I'm hopeful I will be back to hiking and biking soon."
Week 2: Embracing Non-Invasive Therapy
By the second week, Michael’s injury had caused a halt in his fitness routine. Inspired by a YouTube video from someone who used Prungo for muscle soreness after long bike rides, he decided to give it a try. "It inspired me to use it as another part of therapy for my knee injury," he said. He began incorporating Prungo into his recovery plan, and although setbacks still occurred, he appreciated the ease of use.

"It’s satisfying to use Prungo on this injured knee by simply connecting and turning it on. It’s working, so I’ll keep on using it."
Week 3: Progress and a New Routine
As the weeks passed, Michael began to notice noticeable improvements. Although he continued to avoid vigorous exercise, he made daily walks a priority, benefiting both his knee and his dog. "Walking is beneficial for this kind of knee injury," he stated. Michael also shared his positive experience with friends, recommending Prungo to one who was suffering from wrist pain.
"I recommend Prungo to friends and have suggested using one to a friend who is experiencing pain to his wrist."
Week 4: Surprising Setbacks, But Still Moving Forward
By the fourth week, Michael's knee pain had nearly disappeared. Despite this, the challenges of daily life, like walking his puppy, still presented moments of strain. "I’m grateful for a real easy way to keep myself going forward from minor setbacks," he said. He also began using the device on his shoulder, finding additional relief.

"I can definitely recommend this product based on my own experience with it."
Week 5: Convenient and Effective for Ongoing Recovery
Michael continued using Prungo to complement his overall wellness plan. He found that using the device before workouts, and on the strong setting post-workout, helped with his recovery. "It seems to help with my recovery. It’s very convenient to use while moving around or sitting in front of my desktop," he said. The convenience and effectiveness of Prungo made it a consistent part of his routine.
"It's the reason I go back to using it a couple of times a week."
Week 6: Almost Pain-Free
By the sixth week, Michael was amazed by the progress he had made. He couldn’t even remember which knee had been injured, a testament to his pain-free recovery. "It has occurred to me that I don't remember which knee was injured, probably due to being free of pain," he observed. Michael occasionally felt some stiffness, particularly with colder weather, but overall he felt strong and confident in his progress.

"I highly recommend red light therapy to anyone who wants a clean method for treating muscle soreness, strain, or pain from overuse."
Week 7: Ready for New Challenges
As week seven arrived, Michael felt the benefits of using Prungo for his knee and shoulders. He started using it as a warm-up before workouts and continued to apply it when needed. Although he hadn't yet tried it for lower back pain, he expressed his intention to do so soon.
"I highly recommend it to anyone with similar issues!"
Week 8: Celebrating the Full Recovery
By week eight, Michael was back to his full routine. After a lower body workout, he felt the familiar aches in his knee, but knew exactly what to do: "After a shower and dinner, I grabbed my Prungo FluxGo and helped my right knee with the strong setting." The therapy enabled him to finish his day on a high note, even after an intense bike ride.
"Thanks, Prungo, for helping me end the day on a good note!"

Michael’s journey with Prungo FluxGo is a powerful reminder that with the right tools, dedication, and a positive mindset, recovery is possible at any age. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or simply enjoying life with his dog, Michael is back on track, stronger and more confident than ever.
